Why Rye PT&R?
At Rye Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation our team of licensed physical therapists pride themselves on providing the highest level of personalized care to their patients. Individuals who come to Rye PT&R for their physical therapy and rehabilitation needs benefit from the more than forty years of hands on clinical experience, post-graduate education and specialized training of our dedicated staff of highly skilled physical therapists.
The goal of physical therapy is to restore functional movement, relieve pain, promote healing and recovery and if necessary, help patients adapt to permanent disability. Our physical therapists develop individualized treatment plans after carefully evaluating each patient. This patient-centered approach helps to ensure the optimal quality of care.
The Rye PT&R Difference
What differentiates Rye PT&R’s approach to physical therapy is the personalized care provided by our licensed physical therapists in a supportive and friendly professional setting.
We believe that our ability to combine the quality of care of a small practice with the efficiencies of a large group practice allows for a special personal relationship between patient and therapist that helps to contribute to a patient’s recovery.

History Rye Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation
Rye Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation (RPTR) opened its doors on October 2, 1995 with a vision of providing high quality health care with a personal touch. Through the guiding principles of putting the patient first, being committed to the profession of physical therapy, being kind, courteous and ethical Rye Physical Therapy began their journey of independent private practice.
Through hard work and following the guiding vision established in 1995 Rye Physical Therapy developed a strong reputation in the Westchester area for providing high quality, individualized care. The practice began to grow and in 2002 a second office was opened in White Plains. In 2003 in an effort to further serve the Rye community we opened a second Rye office (the third overall) in the Altheus building. By the end of 2003 we had 6 FT therapists and 4 full time support staff. In 2007 our Irvington office opened (Rivertown physical therapy) and today we have 36 employees.
Our staff is technically excellent in their skills, and dedicated to the patients they serve. In addition to all being licensed therapists the staff hold various other credentials, including 4 doctors of physical therapy and two more enrolled in programs, 1 certified orthopedic specialist, 6 Certified Strength and Conditioning specialists, and 1 PhD.
While there has been great growth over the 13 years, our core values remain the foundation of our practice and our vision for the future clear.
