Carolyn Surgent

Carolyn Surgent joined Rye Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2005 after moving to the area from New York City. She earned her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from NYU in 2001 and worked in outpatient orthopedics at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and the New York University Health Center with a focus in Performing Arts Therapy. Prior to her training in PT, Carolyn earned her Bachelors and masters degrees in Art & Architectural History from Tufts University and danced professionally. As a recreational triathelete, fitness enthusiast, and dance student, Carolyn remains committed to her passion for human structure and function. She is licensed in New York and Connecticut, is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has been an active member of the APTA since 1999.
